How to get the school calendar in PDF
The first page brings together the ten months of the school year. The second organizes the dates in a list and adds useful information for families.

- Add the product to your cart and complete the free order. The download will be available immediately after.
- Download the PDF and print in A4 landscape. Choose “fit to page” if your printer cuts off the margins.

How to add the school calendar to your phone
The ICS file saves events in a format that many calendar applications can read. How you add it depends on the application you use.
Import via computer
In Google Calendar, file import is done on a computer. Afterwards, the events become accessible on your phone with the same account and active synchronization.
- Download the ICS to your computer.
- Open Google Calendar and go to Settings → Import & export.
- Select the file and choose the calendar where you want to save the events. Click Import.
- On your phone, open the same account and confirm that this calendar is visible.
A separate calendar named “School 2026/2027” helps organize and remove these dates at the end of the year.

On iPhone, you can add a calendar subscription using the file address.
- Open Calendar → Calendars → Add Calendar → Add Subscription Calendar.
- Paste the ICS address found below.
- Tap Search or Subscribe, depending on your iOS version.
- Choose a name and color. Select iCloud to see it on devices with the same account and confirm.

A subscription checks the calendar address but will only show changes if that file is updated. Always confirm with school announcements.

Official breaks are December 16 to 31 for Christmas and March 22 to April 2 for Easter. The ICS extends these blocks by adjacent days without classes. Sources: school calendar published in the Diário da República and Government information on the start of secondary school.
Confirm your school's calendar. The exact start date, term organization, and local adjustments may vary. The Azores and Madeira have their own calendars. The September 21 date applies to science-humanities courses; the ICS event uses the general designation “Secondary Education”.

Three details that help in day-to-day life
- Choose a color for school. It makes it easier to distinguish these dates from birthdays, appointments, and meetings.
- Confirm repeated holidays. The ICS includes October 5, December 1 and 8, May 27, and June 10. If you already have another holiday calendar active, some may appear twice.
- Configure your reminders. View event notifications before relying on them. You can create your own alert for returning to school or preparing for vacations.
The file includes dates for various levels of education. Use the ones that apply to your family and add meetings, field trips, and municipal holidays announced by the school.

Before saving the calendar
Is the Gotu school calendar free?
Yes. The PDF is available as a free digital product at Gotu. The ICS can be downloaded directly via the buttons in this article.
Can I import the ICS directly into the Google Calendar app?
Importing ICS files in Google Calendar is done on a computer. Afterward, check the events on your phone using the same account with the calendar visible.
Does the file include every holiday of the year?
It includes five national holidays selected for falling on weekdays within the school term. It is not a list of all national or municipal holidays. June 10, for example, is already after classes end for some grade levels.
Will I receive automatic reminders?
This depends on the application and your settings. Check your alerts after adding the calendar and create the reminders you need. Full-day events do not guarantee a notification on their own.
Why are holidays appearing twice?
You may have the app's holiday calendar and the school calendar visible at the same time. Verify the source of each event before removing anything. Avoid importing the file multiple times.
Do imported dates update automatically?
An import saves a copy. A subscription depends on the update of the source file and how often the application checks it. Information communicated by the school should guide your planning.
Keep the school year organized.
Print a copy for home and keep the dates in your agenda. When the next break arrives, you'll know exactly where to look.
