You put together a list of christening gifts that make sense for your baby, send the link with the invitation, and each person chooses what's left to give. Each gift is marked with the name of the giver, and you earn store credit when the list is finished.

How it works

From the first item to the last gift.

Create the registry

Log in to your gotu.pt account, give your registry a name, and confirm the address where the gifts should be sent.
Add the gifts

Every product in the shop has a button to add it to your registry. Choose the quantity and change it whenever you like.
Send with the invitation

Include the link with the christening invitation, via WhatsApp, email, or in print. Anyone who opens it can immediately see what still needs to be gifted.
Family gives gifts

Each person chooses, pays, and decides if the gift is sent to your home or theirs. The item is marked off the registry at that moment.
Credit for you
The more you're gifted, the more you earn.

When the total gifted reaches a certain level, you receive a percentage of everything that has been gifted to you, as store credit to spend at gotu.pt. The credit is issued when you finalize the registry and Gotu confirms the gifts.

Frequently asked questions from families.

Does the gift-giver need a gotu.pt account?

Just the registry link is enough. The gift-giver selects the present and pays as in a normal checkout.

Where are the gifts sent?

To the address you entered in the registry, or to the gift-giver's home. Anyone who wants to bring the gift to the ceremony can choose their own address.

I already have a baby registry open. What do I do?

You can have one registry open at a time. You can continue with the one you have and change the type to "christening" in the registry settings, keeping the same link, or finalize your baby registry and create a new one for the christening.

How does the registry update when someone gives a gift?

The item is marked as "gifted" as soon as the payment is confirmed, for everyone to see. This way, each gift arrives only once.

Can I change the registry after sending the invitation?

Yes. You can add, remove, and change quantities whenever you like, and the link remains the same.

When do I receive the credit?

At the end. When you finalize the registry, Gotu confirms the gifts and the credit is added to your gotu.pt account. Use it for any store purchase while logged in.

What if a gift is returned?

The value is deducted from the registry total and the item becomes available for someone else to gift.

How long can I receive gifts?

Until you finalize the registry. All gifts ordered before that time count, even if the payment arrives later.
