Lavender water has healing, anti-inflammatory, deodorant, toning, antiseptic, and calming properties for irritated and sensitive skin. Widely used in natural cosmetics, it has anti-fatigue, rebalancing, and purifying effects, suitable for oily or combination skin prone to acne; soothing after shaving or in cases of sunburn. Lavender water is obtained by distilling the flowers of Lavandula officinalis, a shrub of the labiatae family, common in the Mediterranean basin, with woody stems and purple flowers gathered in spikes.
