Magnesium sulfate, or sulfate from magnetic rock, commonly known as Epsom salt, is a chemical compound that contains magnesium,

Uses in agriculture
In gardening, magnesium sulfate is used to correct magnesium deficiency in the soil (magnesium is an essential element in the process of the chlorophyll molecule). It is commonly used in the cultivation of plants in orchards or pots when their soil lacks sufficient magnesium, such as for potatoes, roses and tomatoes. The advantage of magnesium sulfate over other magnesium additives for soil is its high solubility.
It is used exactly as a nutrient for plant life, in solutions intended for hydroponic cultivation.
Medical use
Topically, it can be used to treat ingrown toenails. Oral magnesium sulfate and magnesium hydroxide are used as laxatives for pregnant women. Epsom salts are also available in gel form for topical application to wounds and painful areas. Intravenously, they are often used to reduce the intensity of cramps.
On the other hand, it is used during pregnancy to prevent convulsive crises or coma known as eclampsia. It can also be used as a bronchodilator - once beta-agonist and anticholinergic drugs have produced a desensitization of their respective receptors - in severe asthma exacerbations. It can also be used in the form of nebulizations to relieve asthma symptoms, or administered intravenously to treat cases of severe asthma attacks.
Other uses
Magnesium sulfate is also used as a bath salt , particularly in floatation therapy, because high concentrations of this salt dissolved in water increase the density of the solution, which makes a human body float like a buoy. It has traditionally been used to prepare foot baths for relaxation purposes. In some parts of the world (such as New Zealand) it is added to homemade drinks; in this case, the sulfate radical is not important, because it is magnesium that provides a taste between acidic and bitter, due to its Mg2+ ion that acts as a flavoring agent.
In the aquarium hobby, Epsom salt is used as a treatment for changes in the swim bladder, an organ that controls the gas pressure capacity inside the fish and allows it to swim at different depths. This condition is very common in ornamental fish fed with flake or floating foods, because when the fish swallows the food, it also ends up swallowing atmospheric air. It is a very common condition in goldfish (goldfish or the famous bridal veils). During the crisis, the fish turns upside down and cannot feed properly. The water flow often ends up carrying the fish, which loses its quality of life and, if not treated quickly, can die. For treatment, the sick fish is isolated and Epsom salt is diluted in dechlorinated water with an oxygenator and the fish is placed in it. Salt stimulates the fish's intestines, as a laxative, eliminating feces with air residues that make the fish lose the ability to regulate its swimming correctly.
Magnesium sulfate is classified and prepared with different degrees of purity, according to its different uses. Agricultural grade, used in the field and stored with pesticides and other agricultural products, should not be confused with food grade or analytical grade, which must comply with different standards for the required degree of purity.

What is the Exchange and Returns policy?
What can I return?
Any item can be returned, with the exception of babywearing, car seats or hygiene or intimate items. These exceptions will be analyzed on a case-by-case basis only if they have never been used.
What should I pay attention to?
Returned products must be in a saleable condition, i.e. in the same condition in which they arrived in the User's hands, without any anomaly or damage (including any packaging, box or padding or wrapping material). This is a mandatory factor.
How to proceed?
You must request a return by email (ola@gotu.pt) or WhatsApp (910 678 811). When an item is eligible for return, there are two ways to do so:
-The customer packs and sends the item well-packaged to Gotu, after approval of the return.
-For greater convenience, Gotu collects the item from the customer's address, at a cost of €4.50 (for mainland Portugal)
Are there any costs?
What will be described here is effective when the return is not based on manufacturing defects or errors attributable to Gotu. In these cases, the return is free of charge.
We must bear in mind that sending an item to the customer's address implies contracting a transport service external to Gotu. This service has a cost, which in most cases is €4.50. From the moment the customer receives the item, we consider the transport service to have been successfully completed.
In case of returning the item, we have to assume:
1-Shipping has already been paid for and completed
2-The cost of this shipment will not be refunded.
3-When shipping is carried out under a promotional campaign, its cost (€1 or even Free Shipping) is paid by Gotu to the transport company. This amount, regardless of the amount paid by the customer, will not be refunded.
In practice, returns will be made as follows (taking as an example an item valued at €50):
1-In case of full payment of postage (€4.50 for example) this amount will not be refunded, only the value of the item (€50 in the example)
2-In case of shipping under a Free Shipping or €1 Shipping campaign, the refund of the item's value will be debited from the actual shipping cost (€4.50 or €3.50 respectively, making a total refund of €45.50 or €46.50 respectively)
3- Points 1 and 2 assume that the customer will be responsible for sending the item. For greater convenience, Gotu can request home collection, increasing the discounted price of the item by €4.50.
Why do I see different shoe sizes than other stores?
Because we measure EVERY shoe we have, and use those measurements in our Gotu Calculator . This way, we can ensure that if your foot measurement is correct, then the shoe size shown is the best fit.
