Cocoa butter is pale yellow in colour and consists mainly of palmitic, stearic, oleic and lauric acids and melts at approximately 36°C. This fatty acid composition makes it ideal for dry and chapped skin. It also contains vitamin E, phytosterols, squalene and minerals. It is a widely used ingredient in cosmetics for its emollient and nourishing properties, its texture and its scent.
