A card and dice game for practicing diphthongs through play, which works on oral skills, reading, and writing for children aged 6 and up.

The mechanics are simple and engaging from the very first go: you roll the dice until you form a diphthong and then search the cards for all the words that contain it. Whoever collects the most wins. Since each round is short, it’s perfect for playing ten minutes before dinner or for an entire afternoon.

Behind the fun is serious work on the alphabetic principle, which is the link between sound and letter, and it is precisely here that many children stumble when learning to read. Searching for words with the same diphthong forces them to listen carefully, compare, and confirm the spelling—three gestures that increase vocabulary and spelling accuracy without feeling like an exercise.

The box is portable and includes an instruction booklet inside, making it suitable for home, the classroom, or speech therapy sessions. This is a charitable project, with proceeds from sales going to partner institutions Capiti and PIN.
