The P'tit Evo is an Asian-inspired carrier (also called a Mei-tai) "hybrid":

Intuitive, it is a perfect compromise between a wrap and a pre-formed carrier. It is the ideal choice for all parents who like to be close to their children but do not feel comfortable tying a wrap or do not like to feel too constrained. The straps simply cross on the back and require no prior adjustment, allowing you to achieve the perfect fit in a single movement, regardless of the size of the wearer or your child.

The mei tai is specifically designed for newborns, it adjusts in both height and width and allows for adapted dimensions even for the smallest ones. Tightened to the minimum, it will provide ideal support for the baby's back and preserve the natural space between the hips.
