The i-Starter complies with the highest ECE R129 safety standard, which includes rigorous side-impact testing to protect your child's head in the event of an accident. Its Tri-Protect™ headrest, featuring three layers of protection, including patented Intelli-Fit™ memory foam, offers superior safety for the newborn's head and neck.

It is essential that this car seat is used always rear-facing for the entire period of use (40-75 cm), maximizing protection in case of a frontal collision.

Unmatched Comfort and Portability

Weighing only 3.3 kg, the i-Starter is one of Joie's lightest infant car seats, making transport between home, car, and stroller extremely practical. The ergonomic carry handle, with a soft-touch grip, facilitates effortless carrying. For the baby's comfort, it includes a breathable mesh insert that ensures a perfect fit for the little ones, and an extendable canopy with UPF 50+ sun protection to shield sensitive skin and provide privacy.

Versatility and Flexible Installation

Versatility is a strong point of this car seat. It can be installed in two ways: using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt, without needing a base, for simple use in any car; or, for added convenience and enhanced safety, attached to the i-Base Encore* base, which allows for 90º rotation to facilitate placing and removing the baby. Furthermore, it is compatible with most Joie strollers* via universal adapters, allowing you to transition from car to walk in seconds.

The 3-point harness system tightens easily with a single pull, keeping the baby secure and comfortable.
