This refined Fractionated Coconut Oil is emollient (prevents water loss) and soothing to the skin without clogging pores. It is colorless, composed mainly of capric and caprylic acids, has low viscosity, is soluble with other oils, and is widely used in natural cosmetics as a carrier oil for essential oils, in massages, and in the preparation of soaps, lotions, creams, and other cosmetics. It is very light and non-greasy. As the name suggests, fractionated coconut oil is a fraction of coconut oil from which almost all long-chain triglycerides have been removed, leaving mainly medium-chain triglycerides, which make it a saturated oil. This gives it a long and very stable shelf life, making it an oil that does not go rancid.
